Marvin Gaye’s Masterpiece: I Want You

The genius of singer and songwriter Marvin Gaye can never be overstated. His contributions to the world of art are appreciated globally. I Want You is my favorite Marvin Gaye song, and in my opinion, it is his best work. The song reminds me of what the essence of Soul music really is. It’s like a hazy sunny day in the month of June, so colorful, so peaceful within. No bills to pay. You have a little money saved up, and you’re with some friends who appreciate the value of art and good music. That’s all it takes to have a nice time. You don’t need any big discussion, or a bunch of people dragging their issues around. Maybe family is at the gathering, maybe not. What I do know is that Marvin Gaye’s I Want You captures this experience through song. Enjoy!
